she has left...
and with her several of my hope...
are now disillusionments...
only she knows what i mean...
and in that there is closure, and happiness.
i came across this long haired damsel...
in halls where i learned of lore...
she and me never spoke unless required...
but our existence to each other was known...
she was my senior.
a year passed, we met at times...
but often went days unremembered...
a year later I left those halls too...
and the world welcomed me...
into its arms, wide open.
disappointment, was friend...
those few days of depression...
and then a voice called out to me...
soon we shared office space...
we worked together.
fun, anger, joy, love, and resentment...
we’ve been there many a times...
we even share birthdays...
and love each others company twice...
life was interesting.
unhappiness settled in as usual...
time has come for her to move on...
my time’s up too, in a certain way...
and like often, we share this too...
the departure, an exodus.
we might part ways, we might forget...
but too much connects together...
too many strings are now joined...
we share, a man, a college, a department...
and now a LIFE.
will miss you Veena Zacharias...
will miss you dear.
and with her several of my hope...
